A Bengaluru-based techie has reportedly killed his daughter and then jumped into the lake to commit suicide. But he survived by the grace of God. The story he narrated behind this will shock the world. He did all this to avoid harassment from lenders for whom he got loans and suffered financial losses in the cryptocurrency currency market.

After leaving Bengaluru, the techie stopped to pick up some biscuits and chocolates for his two-and-a-half-year-old daughter. He even kept her entertained in the back seat. But the fear of lender pressure didn't let him sleep, and he killed the little girl before attempting suicide.

"She began to cry, and I didn't have any money on me. If I returned home, I would be in an even worse situation. I just hugged her and murdered her. My inability to buy her food compelled me to make the decision. I jumped into the lake with her to commit suicide, but I didn't drown "He narrated the incident to the cops.

Rahul was arrested by Kolar police on suspicion of murdering his daughter Jiya and disposing of her body in a lake near Kendatti on the Bengaluru-Kolar highway. He was taken to a crime-reconstruction site in Mahazar on Friday.

He sobbed uncontrollably at first, according to the police, but regained control and began narrating his version. When he saw his father Vinod and wife Bhavya standing on the lake bed, he burst into tears again.

Rahul, a Gujarati technician living in Bengaluru, lost his job, suffered financial losses in cryptocurrency investments, and was the subject of a police investigation for filing a false robbery claim. Rahul had pledged his wealth and informed his wife that the jewelry had been stolen from him.

Rahul and Jiya went missing on November 15 after he took her out under the guise of going to school, according to reports. Jiya's body was discovered in the lake the next morning, and authorities assumed Rahul, too, had committed suicide.
