Neighbours discovered Garg in a pool of blood on the bathroom floor and immediately rushed him to Indresh Hospital. Despite efforts, he succumbed to his injuries during treatment.

Superintendent of Police (City) Pramod Kumar revealed that two unidentified suspects were seen near the victim’s residence around 7:45 PM in CCTV footage. Officers are questioning locals and tracking frequent visitors to the house, including food delivery agents.

According to initial findings, the suspects allegedly demanded the “password” from the victim, possibly for a digital transfer, before stabbing him multiple times. The attack was so brutal that it caused severe abdominal injuries.

Based on a complaint filed by the victim’s brother, Adesh Kumar Garg, an FIR has been registered under Section 103(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) at the Vasant Vihar police station. Adesh, who resides in Saharanpur, stated that his brother had lived alone since his wife’s demise a few years ago. Garg’s two daughters are married, living in Chennai and Gurugram, respectively.
