Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MP Sanjay Singh has leveled serious allegations against authorities, claiming a conspiracy is being hatched to kill Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal by denying him insulin during his detention in Tihar Jail. Singh alleged that Kejriwal, who is diabetic, is not being provided with the crucial medication inside the prison.

"Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal is not being given insulin. If a patient with diabetes is not given insulin on time, for that person, it becomes a question of life or death," Singh told reporters on Friday. "A conspiracy is being hatched to kill him. The people of Delhi will give a reply to this crime."

Singh's explosive claims come after Tihar Jail authorities submitted a report to Delhi Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena stating that Kejriwal did not require insulin administration as his blood sugar levels were "not alarming." The report further noted that Kejriwal had stopped taking insulin shots months before his arrest on March 21 in a money laundering case linked to the Delhi excise policy.

According to the report, Kejriwal's health was reviewed on April 10 and 15 by a specialist who advised oral anti-diabetic drugs. It stated that it is "incorrect to state that Kejriwal was denied insulin at any point of time" during his treatment. The report also mentioned adequate availability of insulin in the jail dispensary, which could be administered "as and when required."

However, Singh dismissed the report's claims, accusing the current government of cruelty towards Kejriwal, who had provided free medicines and essential services to Delhi's citizens during his tenure as Chief Minister.

The AAP has been consistently alleging that Kejriwal is being denied proper medical care, including insulin, while in custody. The party has vowed to continue protesting against Kejriwal's arrest, which they claim is politically motivated.

As tensions escalate, the situation surrounding Kejriwal's health and treatment in Tihar Jail has become a focal point of controversy, with both sides presenting conflicting narratives. The case has once again brought to the fore concerns about the treatment of high-profile political detainees and the need for transparency in the judicial process.
