Amit Shah, the union Home minister, arrived
Bhuj Airport on Friday night to commence his 2-days visit of the state
including 1-day visit to border city, Kutch. During his visit, he will both
unveil new initiatives and embark on a religious journey to the Koteshwar
Mahadev temple.
At 10:30AM, the Union Home Minister will participate in the inaugural event for the IFFCO (Indian Farmers Fertiliser Cooperative) Nano DAP (Di-ammonium Phosphate; Liquid) Plant at Kandla Unit in Gandhidham. Dr. U S Awasthi, the Managing Director of IFFCO, has already traveled to Kandla to oversee the preparations for the foundation stone ceremony. The Nano DAP liquid, comprising 8% nitrogen and 16% phosphorus, offers the potential to decrease the use of granular urea by approximately 14%, initially reduce DAP usage by 6% and later by 20%. This advancement is expected to result in currency reserve savings for the nation, enhanced plant nutrition, and complete 100% nutrient availability in the soil.
Around 2:00PM, the Union Home Minister is scheduled to participate in the ceremony marking the commencement of the BSF's Mooring Place, as well as virtually inaugurate multiple projects at Koteshwar. During this event, he will also conduct the traditional ground-breaking ritual (Bhumi pujan) for the Border Security Force's mooring place at the coastal pilgrimage site of Koteshwar.
Subsequently, he will proceed to the Border Out
Post (BOP) close to Harami Nala, a well-known location situated along the
coastal border between India and Pakistan near Sir Creek. At 3:00PM, Shah will
embark on his visit by boarding the Border Out Post Gopal in Koteshwar. Later,
at 6:00PM, he will participate in the 'Freedom@75' event, commemorating the
Amrit Mahotsav, and engage with inmates from Bhuj Jail.
