Amid efforts to strengthen the state's economy, the Andhra Pradesh Cabinet, led by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, has approved several key policies aimed at enhancing infrastructure and promoting the IT and textile sectors. These initiatives include a mix of investments and incentives for businesses, with a focus on creating jobs and fostering sustainable growth.

The cabinet gave the green light to the Information Technology and Global Capability Centre Policy 4.0, which aims to position Andhra Pradesh as a global hub for knowledge and innovation. This policy will encourage the development of co-working spaces, hybrid work models, and IT campuses, offering incentives covering up to 50% of investment costs. Cities like Tirupati, Visakhapatnam, Vijayawada, and Amaravati will be the focal points for these hubs, with additional satellite centers planned in rural areas.

In a parallel move, the government approved the Textiles, Apparel, and Garments Policy, targeting ₹10,000 crore in investments and creating 200,000 jobs over the next five years. This policy also aims to boost textile exports to $1 billion and establish five integrated textile parks under a public-private partnership model.

Additionally, the Cabinet approved a comprehensive Maritime Policy to develop the state’s port infrastructure and establish a mega shipyard. A Real-Time Governance System was also introduced to streamline citizen services with AI-driven innovations and WhatsApp-based document delivery.
