Baba Tarsem Singh, Uttarakhand gurdwara chief's murder: Shooter killed in Haridwar in encounter

The
primary suspect in Baba Tarsem Singh's murder was eliminated early on Tuesday
during a confrontation with the Uttarakhand Special Task Force (STF) in the Bhagwanpur
region.
The incident happened very early in the morning. DGP Abhinav Kumar stated that although Amarjit Singh, also known as Bittu, a shooter with a one lakh rupee bounty on his head, was eventually murdered, his accomplice managed to get away.
He said that in an effort to capture the wanted individual, the Haridwar Police and the Uttarakhand Special Task Force had begun working together. Among those who had over sixteen crimes committed against them on March 28 was Amarjit Singh, who was involved in the murder of the 'karseva' chairman of Nanakmatta Gurudwara. Two individuals riding motorbikes shot and killed Baba Tarsem Singh at the Nanakmatta Gurdwara in Udham Singh Nagar. The Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) of Udham Singh Nagar raised the reward money for the two primary suspects who had fled the scene, Amarjit Singh and Sarabjit Singh, earlier on Sunday. The previous amount was Rs 50,000.

Three more people were taken into custody as a result of the inquiry. According to the accusations, they armed criminals, supplied resources, and participated in the planning and carrying out of the crime. DGP Kumar said that the Uttarakhand Police have taken up the murder of Baba as a challenge. The two people in charge of the case were being sought after by the police and the Special Task Force (STF). In addition, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has closely monitored the issue ever since Baba Tarem Singh's murder and given the police stern instructions to track down and apprehend the culprit.
