BJP Releases List of Candidates for Karnataka Polls:-
The Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) in Karnataka has released its very first list of 189 candidates for assembly elections in the state, Which is to be held in the upcoming days. Interestingly, it also included the son of the current Chief Minister, B.S Yediyurappa.
B.Y Vijayendra, son of the current Karnataka CM, has been nominated to contest from the constituency of Padmanabhanagar in Bengaluru.
The BJP's Central Election Committee made a list of people who want to be candidates. They had a meeting to pick the names. The group wants to compete for all 224 seats in the area.
Many politicians who currently hold different positions inside the government have been nominated again, the most notable ones being C.T. Ravi, Arvind Bellad, and Basanagouda Patil Yatnal. The list has some new people in it, with the likes of Shobha Karandlaje and Geetha Shivarajkumar making the cut.
The BJP wants to keep control in Karnataka. They have more assembly members than anyone else right now. BJP has a good track record in the state, but this time things might change. They are facing stiff competition from the opposition as Congress and Janata Dal (Secular) are making strong claims in many areas.
The forthcoming assembly elections in the state of Karnataka are planned to be carried out in two distinct phases on April 18 and 23, respectively. The eventual outcome of the electoral exercise is set to be announced on May 2. The closely scrutinized election Will present a significant indicator for the forthcoming 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
