The 68th edition of the Hyundai Filmfare Awards 2023 was a glamorous occasion attended by some of the top-notch Bollywood celebrities. Recognizing the outstanding performances of the past year, the event took place at the Jio World Convention Centre, with SalmanKhan serving as the host. The evening was illuminated with awe-inspiring performances by renowned personalities such as Vicky Kaushal, Tiger Shroff, Janhvi Kapoor, and Jacqueline Fernandez.

The Filmfare awards ceremony took place on Thursday night, applauding the excellence of cinema from the previous year. Gangubai Kathiawadi and Badhaai Do emerged victorious and bagged a slew of honors. Alia Bhatt was bestowed with the Best Actor in a Leading Role (Female) award for her performance in Gangubai Kathiawadi, while Rajkummar Rao won the Best Actor in a Leading Role (Male) award for his role in Badhaai Do.


Sanjay Mishra received the award for Best Actor (Critics') for his role in Vadh, while Bhumi Pednekar for Badhaai Do and Tabu for Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 won the award for Best Actress (Critics'). Additionally, Sanjay Leela Bhansali was awarded the Best Director trophy for his film Gangubai Kathiawadi.


The Filmfare Awards 2023 recognized Anil Kapoor's performance in Jug Jugg Jeeyo with the Best Actor in a Supporting Role (Male) trophy, while Sheeba Chaddha won the Best Actor in a Supporting Role (Female) for her role in Badhaai Do. Pritam's music album for Brahmastra: Part One - Shiva was awarded Best Music Album, and Prakash Kapadia and Utkarshini Vashishtha won the Best Dialogue trophy for Gangubai Kathiawadi. 


Akshat Ghildial, Suman Adhikary and Harshavardhan Kulkarni's screenplay for Badhaai Do won the Best Screenplay award, and Akshat Ghildial and Suman Adhikary's story for the same movie won the Best Story trophy.In addition, Ankush Gedam won the Best Debut (Male) award for Jhund, while Andrea Kevichüsa was awarded Best Debut (Female) for Anek. The Best Debut Director award went to Jaspal Singh Sandhu and Rajeev Barnwal for Vadh, and Prem Chopra received the Lifetime Achievement Award.


At the Filmfare Awards 2023, Pritam won the Best Music Album trophy for Brahmastra: Part One - Shiva, while Amitabh Bhattacharya was awarded Best Lyrics for the song Kesariya from the same movie. Arijit Singh won the Best Playback Singer (Male) award for the same song, and Kavita Seth won the Best Playback Singer (Female) award for her rendition of Rangisari from Jug Jugg Jeeyo. The RD Burman Award for Upcoming Music Talent went to Jahnvi Shrimankar for her song Dholida from Gangubai Kathiawadi. Additionally, the award for Best VFX was given to DNEG and Redefine for their work on Brahmastra: Part One - Shiva, while Ninad Khanolkar won Best Editing for An Action Hero. 


The Best Costume Design trophy was awarded to Sheetal Sharma for Gangubai Kathiawadi, and Subrata Chakraborty and Amit Ray won the Best Production Design award for the same movie.


At the 68th Hyundai Filmfare Awards 2023, held on April 27, 2023, on Colors TV, several notable Bollywood personalities graced the red carpet. Among the celebrities present were Alia Bhatt, Rekha, Bhumi Pednekar, Anil Kapoor, Nora Fatehi, Vicky Kaushal, Janhvi Kapoor, and Tiger Shroff.


The event recognized several films and performances, with Bishwadeep Dipak Chatterjee winning the Best Sound Design award for Brahmastra: Part One - Shiva. Meanwhile, Sanchit Balhara and Ankit Balhara won the Best Background Score trophy for Gangubai Kathiawadi. 


The Best Choreography award went to Kruti Mahesh for her work on the song Dholida from Gangubai Kathiawadi, while Sudeep Chatterjee won the Best Cinematography award for the same movie.


In addition, Parvez Shaikh won the Best Action award for his work on Vikram Vedha. These awards are a recognition of the hard work and talent of the individuals involved in the making of these movies.
