Chandrayaan-3, India's recently successful lunar mission, has found its way to Chhattisgarh's grand 120-foot Ganeshotsav pandal.
Displaying the excitement of accomplishing a gentle and controlled landing on the Moon's South Pole, the pandal in Chhattisgarh intends to replicate the design of Chandrayaan-3.
This resemblance can be seen in the pandal being constructed for the upcoming Ganeshotsav festivities in Raipur, the state's capital.
This year, the Ganesh Utsav festivities are scheduled to kick off on September 19. In the capital, several renowned Ganesh Utsav committees are busy arranging in preparing grand pandals with unique themes.
Keeping up with their annual tradition, Kali Bari in Chhattisgarh is once again showcasing creativity by hosting an extraordinary 120-foot-tall and 70-foot-wide pandal, designed to resemble the Chandrayaan-3 rocket.
A team of thirty skilled artisans from Kolkata is working around the clock to craft this bamboo-based structure.
While speaking to ANI, the lead artisans revealed, "Thousands of bamboo have been used in it, and apart from this, plywood is also being used. It would take about 45 days to complete it."
"We will complete it and hand it over to the committee two days before the installation of the Ganesh idol," they further added.
A member of the Jay Bhole Ganesh Committee, Vijay Baghel, expressed that this Chandrayaan-3-themed pandal will be the largest as well as grandest ever seen in Chhattisgarh.
Baghel revealed, "The idol of Lord Shri Ganpati Ji is to be installed in the Chandrayaan-3 pandal. The height of the idol will be 17 feet, and the width will be 26 feet, in which the form of nine planets will be given."
"There will also be a presentation of an attractive tableau in this pandal where aliens will stand on the moon waving the tricolor", he added.
