Meerut murder accused Muskaan Rastogi stabbed her husband Saurabh Rajput in the heart thrice under the influence of her lover Sahil Shukla, autopsy reports revealed. The brutal killing involved drugging, dismemberment, and potential occult practices, sparking widespread outrage.

In a case that has shocked the nation, the autopsy of murdered merchant navy officer Saurabh Rajput revealed that he was stabbed through the heart three times by his wife Muskaan Rastogi, allegedly under the coercion of her lover, Sahil Shukla. The murder took place on March 4 in Uttar Pradesh’s Meerut and has since drawn nationwide outrage due to the gruesome nature of the crime.
According to investigators, Saurabh was first drugged and rendered unconscious before Muskaan was made to sit on his chest. Sahil then handed her a knife and demonstrated how to use it, urging her to stab Saurabh in the heart thrice, promising a new life together. When Muskaan hesitated, Sahil reportedly held her hand and forced the stabbing.
The autopsy revealed that Saurabh’s neck was severed, legs bent backward, wrists cut off, and the torso dismembered. His body was later stuffed into a drum and encased in cement. A panel of doctors stated the murder was carried out with brutal force, with the knife piercing deep into the heart.
Muskaan and Sahil were arrested on March 18 after police discovered the decomposed body. The duo had tried to mislead the family by sending messages from Saurabh’s phone and even went on a vacation following the murder.
The victim’s family has alleged that the accused were involved in occult practices, with claims that the murder may have had ritualistic elements. Police are investigating all angles, including the alleged influence of black magic.
