The "surveys" conducted by the Income Tax department of India on the BBC's premises in New Delhi and Mumbai went rogue on world media. The 3-days investigation garnered lots of criticism and created chaos within the country, leaving the pursuit open to debate.The UK government, however, was silent on the matter. Neither Rishi Sunak nor its members voiced their concern since the surveys took place until the Labour party raised questions against the government's stance. It criticizes us, it criticizes the Labour party, and it has that freedom that we believe is so important.”He also stressed the freedom of the press and how it is a pedestal for democracy.
