With the G20 Summit on the horizon, the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) is leaving no stone unturned to ensure the security and well-being of the global leaders scheduled to convene in India on September 9 and 10.

In a significant development, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) has supplied the CRPF with a fleet of 120 vehicles, including 45 bulletproof cars, exclusively designated for the use of visiting heads of state during the summit.

Among these vehicles, approximately 60 are configured for left-hand driving, aimed at accommodating the preferences of international delegates. A comprehensive training program has been undertaken by the CRPF, involving 450 personnel who will serve as drivers and personal security officers, forming the Closed Protection Team (CPT) responsible for the dignitaries' safety.

"For security considerations, each head of state will have access to a dedicated bulletproof car during their stay in the national capital. Excluding a few leaders like the US President, who will bring their own vehicles, all other guests will be transported in the luxurious bulletproof cars provided by the Indian government," reports claimed.

The CRPF personnel have undergone rigorous training sessions in various upscale vehicle models, including Audi, Mercedes, BMW, and Genesis, ensuring their preparedness for the summit. Significantly, these 450 drivers have prior experience as professionals from the Special Protection Group (SPG), renowned for safeguarding the Indian Prime Minister.

During the G20 Summit, specific zones in Delhi will be transformed into secure areas, featuring dedicated corridors to facilitate the movement of leaders and delegates.
