The judgement was declared by the special National Investigation Agency (NIA) court for holding conspiracies against the country. The operatives were sentenced to life term imprisonment after the case was caught, on the explosion of Bhopal-Ujjain train on March 7,2017 that wounded more than 10 passengers. The co-conspirators of the case included 7 men from Islamic State, they are : Mohd Faisal, Gaus Mohd Khan, Mohd Azhar, Atiq Muzaffer, Mohd Danish, Mohd Sayyed Meer Hussain and Asif Iqbal, alias Rokey, who were all sentenced to death except Asif Irani and Faisal, who was declared life imprisonment. They are all charged against section 121 of the IPC along with the UAPA, Arms Act and the Explosive Substances Act, for initiating war against the country.
