Delhi: A Woman Murdered in Khajuri Khas Area by Her Husband on Tuesday

DCP Northeast Joy N Tirkey stated that the previous night, around 8, they had received a call. Upon entering the house, they found a woman's body under the bed after breaking the lock. The police had arrived promptly.

The woman had been identified as Draupadi, and she had a 15-year-old daughter who recognized her. They had been living with the daughter's stepfather, who had been missing since the previous day and was last seen on September 16. Neighbors had informed them about conflicts between the couple. Currently, they were searching for Draupadi's husband, Sunil. Draupadi had four children, and the other three were living with her first husband. They were conducting a thorough investigation into the case.

Regarding the murder of a woman in Delhi's Khajuri Khas area, North East Delhi Police Deputy Commissioner Joy Tirkey stated that the investigation has revealed, the husband was a resident of Hardoi, and the team was investigating this. He was found hiding inside a tubewell in Hardoi, Uttar Pradesh. During interrogation, he confessed that they had a fight on September 16, during which he attacked his wife with a hammer and later strangled her to death.
