Delhi Court Grants Interim Bail to Brij Bhushan Singh in Sexual Harassment Case

New Delhi, July 18, 2023 – In a significant development in the high-profile sexual harassment case, Brij Bhushan Singh, a prominent industrialist, was granted interim bail by a Delhi court today. The court’s decision comes after Singh filed for bail on the grounds of medical reasons and lack of substantial evidence against him.

In response to a complaint made by female wrestlers under sections 354 (assault or criminal force to women with intent to outrage her modesty), 354A (sexual harassment), 354D (Stalking), and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), the Delhi Police filed a chargesheet against Singh and Tomar on June 15.
