Delhi Crime Update:Woman Dragged for 7 Kms Entangled in Car Posted on January 2, 2023 News By Akta Yadav 339 Views Delhi Crime:- In yet another shameful incident at the capital city, Delhi, a 23-year-old woman was dragged from a gray Baleno car in the Kanjhawala area of South-West Delhi after a major accident. The incident was reported on Sunday (1st Jan 2023) at 3:24 a.m. when an onlooker, Deepak Dahiya saw a woman’s naked body hanging below the moving car. Deepak informed that he even chased the car for a long time after calling the police and kept informing the police about the direction in which the car was moving. At 4:10 a.m., the police station received another call informing that a naked body of a woman lay on the road. Delhi Crime The victim’s body was found to be in such a pitiful condition that disturbing public images have not been released. It has been reported that her limbs were found broken and her back was ripped apart making her ribs visible. She was rushed to the SGM hospital at Mangolpuri where she was declared dead. Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, on behalf of the Delhi Government, has described the incident as utterly “shameful” and promised a swift and fair investigation into the matter. Lieutenant Governor Saxena, while reacting to this heinous crime said that his head hangs in shame on hearing the crime report. The 5 accused persons who were present inside the car during the crime are as follows: Deepak Khanna (26 years) working as an auto driver Amit Khanna (25 years) working with banks on contractual basis Krishan (27 years) working at a Spanish Culture Centre located in Connaught Place, Delhi Mithun (26 years) working as a hairdresser Manoj Mittal (27 years) working as a ration dealer All of them have been arrested and in their defense, they expressed that music at very high volume was going on in the car because of which they could not hear any noise beneath the car and were not aware about the body being dragged at all. They even informed the police that they were heading towards Murthal to grab some snacks. The National Commission of Women has also come into action and initiated a probe into this matter, however, the police has denied the veracity of the charges of rape and has only lodged an FIR on the charges of rash and negligent driving and the accident. The possibility of drunk driving was also explored by the police but the prime eyewitness informed that the men did not seem drunk.
