Donald Trump claimed that Google CEO Sundar Pichai praised his recent McDonald's visit as a major online hit, despite past allegations that Google limited search results about him. Trump also used the visit to question Vice President Kamala Harris’s claims of working at McDonald’s, framing it as part of his campaign strategy.

During an appearance on the Joe Rogan podcast, former U.S. President and Republican candidate Donald Trump claimed that Google CEO Sundar Pichai personally called him to praise his recent McDonald’s visit. Trump recounted that Pichai commended him, saying, “This is the biggest thing we’ve had in years,” adding that his McDonald’s appearance sparked massive online engagement.
This statement follows earlier allegations by Trump that Google was intentionally obscuring search results about him. Previously, Trump said he had contacted Pichai to express dissatisfaction over what he claimed was Google’s suppression of information about his campaign, accusing the tech giant of bias.
The McDonald's visit, part of Trump’s campaign strategy in Pennsylvania, served as a tactic to contrast himself with Vice President Kamala Harris. Trump worked briefly at the store, even donning an apron at the french fry station, and remarked, “I’ve now worked here 15 minutes more than she ever did,” referring to Harris’s past claims of having worked at McDonald’s during her youth. Trump’s comments cast doubt on Harris's previous statements, claiming the McDonald's manager could not confirm her employment.
