In wake of the G20 Summit in Delhi, the Office of Labour Commissioner, Delhi Government on Tuesday issued a notice stating that all shops, commercial and business establishments will remain closed in the national capital.


The G20 Summit, a gathering of world leaders, is scheduled to take place on  September 9-10 at the modern Bharat Mandapam Convention Centre in Pragati Maidan. India, which undertook the G20 Presidency on December 1 the previous year, is taking on the role of host for this significant event.

Delhi announces 3-day lockdown for G20 Summit, ensuring security and success.


As Delhi Police implements comprehensive security measures throughout the city, the government has taken additional steps to guarantee the summit's success. 


‘’All shops, commercial enterprises, and businesses within the New Delhi district remain closed from September 8th to 10th, said the Labour Commissioner in its notification. 


Furthermore, employees and workers are entitled to paid leave during this period in acknowledgment of the G20 Summit.
