Further Process of Investigation

The PRC has communicated the decision to the extradition of gangster Prasad Pujari to the Indian Ministry of Home Affairs. The GOI has also been informed that the extradition request is to be sent to Mandarin.

Giving updates about the ongoing process of investigation, an Indian IPS officer stated, “We are in the process of translating the dossier and other extradition papers into Mandarin language and hope to get his custody. He had created havoc by making a series of extortion calls in the absence of other big gangsters.” The Indian police have also sent DNA samples to China for accurate identification of the gangster.

15-20 cases of extortion have been registered against gangster Prasad Pujari. Besides this, a murder case in Mumbai and 1 attempted murder case in Thane are also persistent against him. Moreover, his mother, who is 60 years old, has also been arrested on the Grounds of assisting him in running the extortion racket.
