Atiq Ahmed’s Sons, UmarAsad Ahmed

Umar was Atiq Ahmed’s eldest son. He surrendered in August 2022 when he was charged with the abduction and torture of Mohit Jaiswal, a businessman from Lucknow. Currently, Umar has been kept in Lucknow jail. Atiq Ahmed’s second son, Ali Ahmed, surrendered in July 2021. 4 cases have been filed against Ali in Prayagraj.

19- year old Asad Ahmed was the 3rd son of Atiq Ahmed. After his encounter, a video had gone viral which showed how Atiq Ahmed had encouraged his son to fire bullets using a pilot at a marriage celebration when he was 11 years old. There was only one case filed against Asad, the murder of advocate Umesh Pal, the prime eyewitness of the murder of Raju Pal.

Asad aspired to obtain a degree in law from a foreign University for which he had even applied for a passport. However, the police verification required for the process could not be completed positively. Atiq Ahmed had rightfully confessed after Asad’s death that it was solely he who had pushed his son into the world of crime and that he holds himself responsible for his son’s pitiful fate.

Atiq Ahmed’s Life as A Gangster

Starting from 1996 to 2023, around 50 cases have been reported against Atiq Ahmed, out of which the murder of Umesh Pal is the most infamous case. In 2006, Atiq Ahmed was subject to a punishment of life imprisonment when the MP/MLA Court found him guilty of abducting advocate Umesh Pal.

Atiq Ahmed’s Brother, Ashraf Ahmed, aka Khalid Ahmed

52 cases had been filed against Ashraf Ahmed under various charges such as murder, an attempt at murder and rioting, etc. Ashraf was not found guilty in the case relating to the abduction of Umesh Pal. 

Nevertheless, he was a prime co-accused in the murder case of Umesh Pal and politician Raju Pal.

Atiq Ahmed’s Wife, Shaista Parveen

Shaista was one of the accused persons in the murder of Umesh Pal. 3 cases of fraud have also been filed against her, which are pending before the Court. Currently, Shaista has gone into hiding to avoid any police action against her. She has also accused the police had wrongfully detained 2 of her minor sons.
