Garden Tourism Festival, Delhi: A Paradise for Flower Lovers

Garden Tourism Festival:-

Spend some time to be awed by the colours of Mother Nature and the fervor of the springtime season. This is the 35th edition of the Garden Tourism Festival (GTF). It is being organized by Delhi Tourism in conjunction with the Delhi Government at the Garden of Five Senses in Saket, which is located in the city. The festival will showcase the vibrant culture of Delhi The festival runs from Friday through Saturday (February 17-19).

Heaven for anthophiles!

Over 300 varieties of flowers and plants from around the world will be displayed in the garden at Said-Ul-Ajaib Village, near the Saket Metro station. The flowers will include flowers like roses, hibiscus and profusion, Arabia coffee beans from US, UK, and South Africa, as well as native lotus flowers will be displayed. Dy. CM Manish Sisodia will inaugurate the festival

Officials have said that the Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia will officially inaugurate the festival on 17 February. The theme for this year will be "Garden of Unity," that is a reference to India taking over the G20 presidency. The exhibition will include an array of terrariums, flowers and containers of plants, therapeutic and herbs, plants hanging baskets, dahlias bonsai, roses and cacti, bougainvillea, cutting floral arrangements, nursery displays and more.

Cultural competitions and events will be held

Cultural events that take place on evenings include amateur musicians, bands and other artists, magic shows, as well as painting contests for kids. The festival will also to have food stalls, where visitors will enjoy a variety of delicious food items. The competitions will be held in 32 categories that include flowers in pots, flowering animals theme gardens, vegetable flowers and arrangements for flowers as well as other categories.

In a press announcement, representatives from the Delhi Tourism department declared that the park will offer a location for public recreation, while the extensive gardens, which are adorned with countless flowers, will create an unforgettable spectacle. They also shared that the yearly festival features floral exhibits, themed gardens, horticultural presentations, and other activities, all of which are assessed by judges with specialized knowledge in the relevant areas of horticulture. This year, among the biggest participants are departments of horticulture of (NDMC), Jal Board, MCD, Northern Railway, ASI, Central Public Works Department, Hero Moto Corp as well as many others. Officials announced that Delhi Tourism would provide a free shuttle service that will take visitors from Saket Metro Station (T-Point) to the venue, and back to guests.
