Global Outrage Over Pahalgam Attack: Trump, Putin, Meloni Among Leaders Back India

World leaders strongly condemned the Pahalgam terror attack, expressing condolences and support for India. US President Trump, Russia's Putin, UK's Starmer, Italy's Meloni, and others emphasized solidarity and the need for justice. The attack, which killed 26 civilians, has led to renewed global calls to combat terrorism with unity and resolve.

The brutal terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, which claimed the lives of 26 civilians, has sparked a wave of international condemnation. From the United States to Europe and the Middle East, world leaders expressed solidarity with India and called for justice against those behind the atrocity.
US President Donald Trump, addressing the tragedy on his platform Truth Social, said the United States stands firmly with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the people of India. “Our hearts are with you all,” he wrote, after also speaking directly with Modi to offer support. US Vice President JD Vance, currently visiting India, also expressed condolences, calling the attack “devastating.”
Russian President Vladimir Putin offered strong words through the Russian Embassy in India, stating that there could be "no justification" for such a crime. He reiterated Russia’s readiness to enhance anti-terror cooperation with India.
UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer described the attack as "utterly devastating," while Italian PM Giorgia Meloni and UAE officials expressed deep sorrow and firm rejection of terrorism in all forms. The Iranian Embassy and French Ambassador Thierry Mathou echoed similar sentiments, extending sympathy to the victims and reinforcing their nations’ support for India’s anti-terror stance.
Israel’s Ambassador to India, Reuven Azar, emphasized backing for Indian security forces and condemned the loss of innocent lives.

Home Minister Amit Shah, who arrived in Srinagar hours after the attack, has since reviewed security measures in the Valley. The Pahalgam incident, now being linked to Lashkar-e-Taiba’s proxy group The Resistance Front (TRF), has galvanized a unified international and domestic response, reflecting the growing global intolerance toward terrorism targeting civilians.
