President Droupadi Murmu is going to visit Gujarat on September 12
and 13. On the evening of September 12, she will arrive in Gandhinagar. Then,
on September 13, she will launch a project called 'National e-Vidhan
Application' (NeVA) and speak to the members of the Gujarat Legislative
Assembly in Gandhinagar.
On the same day, she will also launch the 'Ayushman Bhav'
initiative from Raj Bhavan in Gandhinagar, which is organized by the Union
Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. The NeVA project, based on Prime
Minister Narendra Modi's idea of 'One Nation, One Application,' aims to make
all the Assembly work digital and free of paper.
The National e-Vidhan Application (NeVA) is a part of the "Digital India Programme" by the Indian government. Its goal is to make all State Legislatures work without using paper, essentially turning them into digital institutions.
So far, 21 State legislatures have agreed to use NeVA, and 17 of
them have received funds to start the project. Out of these, 9 legislatures
have already gone completely digital, handling all their work electronically
and without any paper.
