In a touching occurrence, the Gauhati Police on Monday helped a woman who was in labour pain just before giving birth near Boripara station road.

With the help of paramedics from the 108 Ambulance Service, the police squad made sure the mother got the care she needed at the time. The woman and baby were quickly transferred to the Pandu First Referral Unit (FRU) as the delivery was completed.
