The Indian government has called for an all-party meeting on Tuesday to discuss the escalating political crisis in Bangladesh, following the resignation and subsequent flight of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. The meeting, scheduled for 10 AM, will be attended by top Union ministers including Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju.

Sheikh Hasina resigned amidst mounting protests and arrived at Ghaziabad's Hindon Air Base near New Delhi on Monday evening in a C-130 Hercules military transport aircraft. The situation in Bangladesh has rapidly deteriorated, with at least 135 people reported dead due to unrest, police firings, mob beatings, and arson across the country.

Reports indicate that clashes between demonstrators and members of the Awami League resulted in at least 96 deaths from police firings. The Savar and Dhamrai regions on the outskirts of Dhaka saw 18 fatalities. Dhaka Medical College Hospital sources reported receiving 500 injured individuals, with 70 requiring admission.

Following Hasina's departure, chaos ensued in Bangladesh. People were seen entering and looting the Ganabhaban (Prime Minister's residence) and the Parliament building. The sudden power vacuum has led to widespread unrest and uncertainty about the country's immediate political future.

As India grapples with the crisis in its neighboring country, the all-party meeting is expected to formulate a unified response to the situation. The developments in Bangladesh pose significant challenges for regional stability and India's foreign policy in South Asia.
