Bhutan King Jigme Khesar is reportedly visiting India for 3 days. He will travel to India at the invitation of the President. The Meeting is believed to strengthen the relationship between the two nations.

He will arrive in India on April 3 and will be accompanied by the foreign ministers of Bhutan and other senior officials. Meetings will be held during his visit with PM Narendra Modi and Draupadi Murmu.


As per the reports, the visit is organized with the intention of deepening the relationship between the nations with regular exchange. Many speculated the meeting to be the aftermath of PM Lotay Tshering’s statement over China and its equal say in resolving the Doklam tri-junction dispute.


Bhutan believes that the statement given to the Belgian Newspaper was misinterpreted or published without any relevant context. However, Tshering mentioned that Bhutan’s position is still the Same in the entire scenario.
