Kota, Rajasthan: Once Again, A Student, NEET Aspirant Takes their Own Life

On Sunday, yet another student in Kota, Rajasthan, reportedly took their own life, bringing the total to 23 such cases this year. The police reported that a 16-year-old student, who was preparing for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) to gain admission to undergraduate medical programs, tragically ended their life at their coaching institute in Kota, Rajasthan.


The late individual, identified as Avishkar from Maharashtra, tragically lost his life by jumping from the 6th floor of the building.

Deputy Superintendent of Police in Kota, Dharmveer Singh stated that the deceased was 16 years and 11 months old, attending class 12, and preparing for NEET. He mentioned that the student lived with his maternal grandparents and had fallen from the 6th floor, and their body had been sent for a post-mortem examination.

The police reported that a 16-year-old student, who was preparing for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) to gain admission to undergraduate medical programs, tragically ended their life at their coaching institute in Kota, Rajasthan.

Singh also noted that the student had taken his own life shortly after leaving the exam hall. He mentioned that the body had been sent to the district medical college hospital for autopsy, and a forensic science laboratory (FSL) team had been dispatched to the scene for further investigations. Additionally, he mentioned that the parents of the deceased had been informed.
