Lalu Prasad Yadav’s controversial remark about Nitish Kumar’s Mahila Samvad Yatra drew widespread condemnation from BJP and JD(U) leaders, who accused him of disrespecting women. The Yatra, slated for December 15, focuses on government initiatives and women’s welfare, contrasting sharply with the heated political rhetoric surrounding it.
Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad Yadav stirred controversy with a disparaging comment about Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s upcoming Mahila Samvad Yatra. When asked about Kumar's tour, Lalu sarcastically remarked that Kumar was going to “ogle at women” ("Aankh Sekne Jaa Rahe Hain Apna").
The remark drew sharp criticism from both the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Janata Dal (United) [JD(U)], who condemned it as an insult to women. Bihar BJP president Dilip Jaiswal called it reflective of Lalu’s mindset, while Union Minister Giriraj Singh expressed disgust, exclaiming, “Chhi! Chhi! Chhi! [Shame].”
JD(U) leader Neeraj Kumar lambasted Lalu, accusing him of harboring a regressive mindset. He added, “The truth is that when you were in jail, your body was imprisoned in Hotwar jail, and your mind was imprisoned in Charwaha Vidyalaya (school for cattle grazers).”
