After returning from her overseas trip on Saturday night, Banerjee visited SSKM Hospital on Sunday to receive medical care for her leg injury.

According to senior doctors at the hospital, the injury sustained by the Trinamool Congress chief occurred about a week ago. Therefore, there are speculations that she might have sustained the injuries during her stay in Spain.

Banerjee arrived in Kolkata, West Bengal, on Saturday following her investment tour of Spain and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
