Maharashtra BJP MLA Ram Satpute has accused MLC Ranjitsinh Mohite-Patil of sabotaging his campaign, alleging misuse of party funds. Meanwhile, MLA Suresh Dhas criticized MLC Pankaja Munde for supporting opposition candidates. Both leaders have urged disciplinary action, raising concerns about internal discord despite the BJP-led Mahayuti’s resounding electoral success.

Amid post-election discussions, BJP leader and MLA Ram Satpute has accused party MLCs Ranjitsinh Mohite-Patil and Pankaja Munde of sabotaging his campaign in the Maharashtra assembly polls. Satpute, who lost the Malshiras constituency to NCP (SP)’s Uttamrao Jankar by a margin of 13,147 votes, termed Mohite-Patil’s actions as “treachery.”
Satpute alleged that Mohite-Patil used funds allocated by Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis for his sugar factory to aid opposition candidates. “This betrayal is unacceptable. BJP workers were threatened and even attacked by his people during the campaign,” he claimed, presenting photographs as evidence.
Separately, newly elected BJP MLA Suresh Dhas, who won in Ashti with a significant lead, criticized MLC Pankaja Munde. Dhas accused her of campaigning against the BJP in Shirur and supporting an independent candidate, stating, “I considered you like a sister, but this betrayal is painful.”
Both Satpute and Dhas have called for disciplinary action against the accused leaders, with Satpute demanding Mohite-Patil’s immediate expulsion. The allegations come despite the BJP-led Mahayuti’s sweeping victory in the assembly elections, where the coalition secured 230 out of 288 seats.
