Manish Sisodia Concedes Defeat in Jangpura, BJP’s Tarvinder Singh Marwah Wins

Manish Sisodia lost Delhi’s Jangpura seat to BJP’s Tarvinder Singh Marwah by 600 votes. BJP leads in 48 seats, AAP in 22. Arvind Kejriwal and other AAP leaders are trailing.

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Manish Sisodia has conceded defeat in the Jangpura constituency of Delhi, losing to Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate Tarvinder Singh Marwah by approximately 600 votes.
According to Election Commission data, after nine rounds of counting, Marwah secured 34,632 votes, while Sisodia polled 34,060 votes. Congress candidate Farhad Suri lagged behind with 6,866 votes.
When asked if the results were final, Sisodia confirmed his loss, stating, “We worked hard, and the people supported us, but I lost by 600 votes. I congratulate the winner and hope he works for the constituency.”
The 2025 Delhi Assembly election results indicate a major shift in power, with BJP leading in 48 seats, while AAP trails with 22 seats. Several top AAP leaders, including Arvind Kejriwal and Saurabh Bharadwaj, are also struggling to retain their seats.

BJP workers celebrated the party’s success outside their New Delhi office with firecrackers, dancing, and singing, marking what appears to be a decisive victory in the capital.
