Massive Level 3 Fire Engulfs Building in Kalbadevi, Mumbai: Prompt Evacuation and Investigation Underway

A large Level 3 fire is currently engulfing a building located in Kalbadevi, Mumbai.

 

A consequential blaze with a level 3 rating occurred in a multi-story building located on Dhanji Street in China Bazar during the wee hours of the day, adjacent to the famous Mumbadevi Temple in the Kalbadevi area.

 

The MFB acted quickly to the occurrence and promptly informed about it at 01:38 a.m, continuing to offer successive information until 8:15 in the morning.

 

Indications are that the fire started on the first level and swiftly made its way up to the fifth floor, leaving around 50-60 people within the structure unable to exit. The MFB responded efficiently and cautiously by using a nearby building's staircase to evacuate the trapped individuals.

 

Due to the severity of the fire, certain areas of the first and second floors, as well as portions of the stairwell, collapsed.

 

To safeguard the rescue crews, firefighting processes were carried out externally. At 03:25 a.m., the fire was designated as a level 3 occurrence according to the official classification.

 

After enduring a challenging and demanding time, the MFB was able to quench the blaze by 07:55 A.M., according to an authorized report.

 

During the confusion, Parag Chakankar, a man of 40 years old, suffered slight burns on his right hand. This knowledge was imparted by Chaudhary, who holds the position of Senior Engineer within the Electrical Engineering division of the C Ward.

 

Chakankar was given prompt medical assistance by Sarang, who was present at the location. Afterward, he received help from the 108 Ambulance service that was present on the premises, which oversaw his transfer from the area.
