The crash follows another fatal aviation accident near Washington, D.C., raising air safety concerns.

A medical transport jet carrying a child patient and five others crashed in a residential area of Philadelphia on Friday, igniting a massive fire. The aircraft, operated by Jet Rescue Air Ambulance, went down near Roosevelt Mall, causing widespread damage and raising concerns over casualties.
According to flight data, the small jet took off at 6:06 PM (local time) but disappeared from radar 30 seconds later after reaching 1,600 feet. The aircraft, en route to Tijuana, Mexico, was carrying a young patient who had been receiving treatment in Philadelphia.
Eyewitnesses reported a loud explosion and intense flames following the crash. "It felt like an earthquake. The whole house shook," a local resident told reporters. Emergency responders rushed to the scene, battling flames that had engulfed multiple homes.
The Philadelphia Office of Emergency Management confirmed the incident, warning residents to avoid the area. Authorities have yet to confirm the number of casualties, but Jet Rescue Air Ambulance stated they could not verify if there were any survivors. "Our priority remains the safety of our personnel and those affected," a company spokesperson said.
US President Donald Trump expressed condolences, calling the incident "tragic" and affirming that emergency teams were fully engaged in rescue efforts.
