Minor Girl Found Abandoned at Ghansoli Railway Station; Investigation Points to Rape

A 12-year-old girl was found abandoned at Ghansoli railway station in Navi Mumbai. Police from the Vashi Government Railway Police (GRP) discovered the minor alone on the platform. Unable to provide any identifying information, she was taken for a medical examination, which confirmed that she had been raped.

On January 27, 2025, a 12-year-old girl was found abandoned at Ghansoli railway station in Navi Mumbai. Police from the Vashi Government Railway Police (GRP) discovered the minor alone on the platform. Unable to provide any identifying information, she was taken for a medical examination, which confirmed that she had been raped.

The police investigation is underway to identify the girl, locate her family, and arrest the individuals responsible for the assault. Senior Police Inspector Rajesh Shinde confirmed that the girl could not provide any details about the crime or her identity. A case has been filed under sections related to rape, voluntarily causing hurt, and criminal acts involving multiple perpetrators.

Authorities are actively searching for clues and gathering information to identify both the victim and the culprits involved in the incident. The police have appealed for public assistance in solving the case and ensuring justice for the young girl.
