Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched a fierce criticism of the Congress party, labeling it a "factory to spread hatred" just a day after Congress faced defeat in the Haryana Assembly elections. Addressing the public virtually during the inauguration of development projects worth ₹7,600 crore in Maharashtra, Modi accused Congress of attempting to divide Hindus and sow communal discord.

In the recent Haryana elections, the BJP secured a historic third consecutive term, winning 48 out of 90 seats. Modi said that this victory reflected the nation's faith in his government's policies, positioning the party strongly ahead of the upcoming Maharashtra elections. The BJP's vote share in Haryana rose to 39.94%, while Congress also saw a minor increase to 39.09%.

Modi accused Congress of misleading the public in Haryana by spreading falsehoods, particularly targeting Dalits. He claimed that Congress tried to stoke unrest among Dalits, youth, and farmers, but BJP's track record on development reassured voters. "The people of Haryana have shown they will not fall for the hateful conspiracies of Congress and their urban naxal allies," Modi stated.
