PM Modi accused Congress of planning to seize people's income, assets like gold, property if elected, calling it a "communist/Maoist" idea. He mocked opposition leaders as "princes" unable to unlock alleged past corruption.

Aligarh, UP: Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched a scathing attack on the opposition Congress party during a rally in Aligarh on Monday, accusing them of scheming to seize people's income and assets if voted into power.
"Congress and its cohorts are planning to reach their dirty hands into your income and assets," Modi roared in front of a large gathering. The Congress party’s “Shehzada” vows to scrutinize all your resources. He plans to audit them and take control of the government to redistribute them among the public.
The PM specifically charged the Congress manifesto with containing proposals to change laws to allow the seizure of people's assets and wealth. "They intend to add a clause to the law to enable them to confiscate the ‘mangalsutra’ (necklaces) and ‘acchus’ of our mothers and sisters," he added.
Modi cautioned that a Congress government would conduct asset screening of salaried people and would utilize confiscated cars, land, ancestral properties, and redistribute them under the ideologies of “communism and Maoism.” "Your 'Botha Bari' (house from your patrilineal clan) in the village and city will be seized by them and given to those who don't have one. Congress wants to put its 'panja' (clutches) on your bank balance. Your assets will not be safe."
The charges were met with vehement jeers from Modi's many supporters present at the rally in the pivotal state of Uttar Pradesh.
Modi ridiculed the erstwhile Samajwadi Party and its leader Akhilesh Yadav, alongside the Congress party's Rahul Gandhi, as incompetent "Shehzadas" (princes) who could not locate the keys required to break the "locks" on the issues of "nepotism, corruption, and appeasement."

The PM announced that his government no longer indulged in a "policy of appeasement" and restored peace by preventing terrorists from causing "serial blasts" that wreaked havoc in Ayodhya, Varanasi, and many other cities in the past.
The BJP is relying on Modi's sharp attacks against the opposition, which he paints as threats to people's wealth, property, and hard-earned achievements. These attacks are part of the Hindu consolidation he is pursuing in Uttar Pradesh, where key election battles are ongoing in the general elections.
