Prime Minister Narendra Modi continues to lead the global
leader approval ratings with an impressive 76%, revealed a survey conducted by
Morning Consult, a US-based consultancy firm.
The survey, titled the 'Global Leader Approval Rating
Tracker,' indicates that 76% of respondents approve of PM Modi's leadership,
while 18% disapprove, and 6% did not express an opinion.
PM Modi's high approval rating can be attributed to his
successful hosting of the G20 Summit in New Delhi earlier this month.
Following him on the list of global leaders are Switzerland
President Alain Berset with a 64% approval rating and Mexico's Andres Manuel
Lopez Obrador with a 61% approval rating.
This is not the first time PM Modi has topped such
rankings. In previous ratings as well, he consistently held the highest
position.
In contrast, US President Joe Biden holds a 40% approval
rating, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has 37%, UK Prime Minister Rishi
Sunak stands at 27%, and France President Emmanuel Macron is at just 24%.
Morning Consult collected this latest data from September 6
to 12. The ratings are based on a seven-day moving average of adult residents
in each country, with sample sizes varying. The sample size in the United
States is around 45,000, while in other countries, it ranges from roughly 500
to 5,000.
PM Modi's leadership during the G20 Summit, where the New
Delhi Declaration was unanimously adopted with full consensus, played a
significant role in enhancing his global approval rating. The summit brought
together global powers and achieved consensus on critical issues, including the
Russia-Ukraine conflict.
Morning Consult's survey data is derived from its
proprietary platform, Political Intelligence, which provides real-time polling
data on political elections, elected officials, and voting issues. It conducts
over 20,000 global interviews daily, with samples representative of the
literate population in India.
