Pope Francis approved a second miracle attributed to Carlo Acutis, paving the way for the Italian teen known as "God's influencer" to become the Catholic Church's first millennial saint.

Pope Francis has credited a second miracle to Carlo Acutis, which means the Italian teenager dubbed ‘God’s influencer’ is one step closer to becoming the Catholic Church’s first millennial saint.
Acutis, who died of leukemia in 2006 aged 15, was beatified in 2020 after the Vatican attributed his first miracle – the cure of a Brazilian boy with a pancreatic ailment. The second miracle is related to the healing of a university student in Florence who had a brain hemorrhage due to a head injury.
Having been blessed with the second miracle by Pope Francis and the Vatican saint-making factory, Acutis can already be considered a saint even though the date has not been set yet.
Acutis was born in London in 1991, and he became popular for using the internet to propagate Catholic Church doctrines by developing websites for his local parish and school. One of the most famous is the website that he developed dedicated to Eucharistic miracles shortly before his death, and for this reason, he was called ‘God’s influencer. ’
His body has been placed in a church in Assisi since 2007 and people, including pilgrims, go to pay their respects. Acutis’ vision of an interconnection of faith and technology continues to impact the Catholic population across the globe.
In England, the land of Acutis’ birth, the Archbishop of Birmingham created a parish in his honor in 2020. Another statue of the soon-to-be saint is found at the Carfin Grotto shrine in Scotland.

The process of sainthood entails the recognition of two miracles that are often claimed to have been performed by the saint after the person’s death. Acutis shall become the newest and possibly the youngest saint canonized by the Catholic Church.
