The UN Mehta Institute of Cardiology and Research Centre announces the death of the Prime Minister’s mother, Heeraben Modi on 30th December 2022 at 3:30 am. She was admitted to the hospital on Wednesday in Gandhinagar, Gujarat due to her deteriorating health. She was cremated in Gandhinagar muktidham crematorium in sector 30 by her son PM Modi on Friday. He reached Gujarat to perform the last rites to his mother. He had reached Ahmedabad to visit his mother in the hospital, and even talked to the doctors and nurses. He stayed there for an hour. Heeraben Modi resided in Raysan village, near Gandhinagar with PM’s younger brother Pankaj Modi. She was a 100-year-old lady. PM regularly visited his mother and spent time during his visits to Gujarat. Family members thanked everyone for their prayers and the condolences paid to her. They humbly insisted everyone continue their scheduled work which would be a great tribute to Hiraben.
