Prime Minister Modi Invites 50 Nurses Nationwide to Independence Day Celebration at Red Fort

During the
Independence Day festivities on August 15, 2023, at the iconic Red Fort, a
diverse array of special guests, including Sarpanches from Vibrant Villages,
teachers, nurses, farmers, and fishermen, have been cordially invited to join
the celebrations, according to the official statement. The press release noted
that the government's intention to include individuals from various sectors
across India in the celebrations reflects its commitment to 'Jan Bhagidari'
(public participation).
Approximately
1,800 individuals, including fifty nurses accompanied by their families, have
received invitations to attend Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Independence Day
address at the Red Fort. The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare's press
release on Saturday mentioned that three of these nurses will represent
Haryana.
Addressing the
press in Faridabad, Haryana, Savita Rani, a Nursing Officer at Badshah Khan
Civil Hospital's Blood Bank, expressed her gratitude for the initiative. She,
along with her family and hospital colleagues, feels delighted and honored to
be part of this significant event. Earlier, during the COVID-19 crisis, Savita
Rani's exceptional efforts were acknowledged on Nursing Day when President
Droupadi Murmu felicitated her.
Nursing Officer
Javed Mohammad, who was invited as a special guest to the Independence Day
Celebrations at Red Fort, remarked that it was a proud occasion for all nursing
officers. He expressed gratitude to PM Modi for acknowledging the nursing
profession. He believed that such instances
would serve as motivation for nurses.
Ghewar Chand,
Chief Nursing Superintendent at Northern Railway Central Hospital in Delhi,
conveyed that it is a moment of great pride as nurses were included in the
Independence Day event at Red Fort. He applauded the government's remarkable
endeavors to enhance nursing services throughout the country.
Chandrakanta
Lakhera, a Nursing Officer from the Health Department of the Delhi Government,
expressed her and her family's happiness at receiving the government's
invitation to join the Independence Day event. She conveyed her gratitude to
the government for extending this opportunity.
