Rajasthan Chief Minister Appeals to Doctors:-
The Chief Minister of Rajasthan, Ashok Gehlot, asked the doctors protesting against the Right to Health Bill to reconsider their strike. He explained that the bill is in the interest of the public and that the government has addressed all misunderstandings and suggestions from doctors. He urged them to allow both public and private sectors to serve the people.
However, a Cabinet minister, Pratap Singh Khachariyawas, stated that the Rajasthan government is willing to back down if needed. Private hospitals and doctors have been boycotting work in opposition to the bill, which offers free medical services to all residents.
Rajasthan was the first state to pass the Right to Health Bill, which allows residents to access free Out Patient Department (OPD) and In-Patient Department (IPD) services in public health facilities. Gehlot also criticized the central government's religious divide policies and questioned how long the country Will tolerate such politics. He pointed out how Rahul Gandhi was prevented from addressing allegations made against him in Parliament in what he perceived as a conspiracy.
