Bank locker rules revised: Things to keep in mind

Bank locker:-

The State Bank of India (SBI) has introduced new rules regarding its bank locker facilities and has requested its customers to visit their branches to implement the revised or supplementary locker agreement. The bank issued a notice on the revised locker agreement, urging customers to contact their respective locker-holding branches to execute the updated agreement.

The RBI has set deadlines for banks to ensure compliance, with 50% of existing customers executing the revised locker agreement by 30th June and 75% by 30th September. Banks are required to report their compliance status on the RBI's Daksh supervisory portal. The RBI has advised banks to assist customers in executing new or supplementary stamped agreements by facilitating stamp papers, franking, electronic execution, e-stamping, and providing a copy to the customer.
