SCO Meet 2023 was held in Goa, India, on the 4th and 5th of May, 2023. The
two-day-long event became an opportunity for India and China to discuss the
extremely crucial issue regarding the India-China border tensions.

Was Discussed Regarding India-China Border Standoff?
The Chinese Foreign Minister, Qin, while participating in the bilateral talks along with S Jaishankar, stated that the Eastern Ladakh border tensions between India and China have been stable for a long time now, and this cooling-off period between the two nationals was the absolute need of the hour as well.
Qin focused that resolving this issue
was necessary to restore the bilateral ties between India and China in other
fields as well.

tweeted about the SCO Meet, “A detailed discussion with State Councillor and FM
Qin Gang of China on our bilateral relationship. The focus remains on resolving
outstanding issues and ensuring peace and tranquility in the border areas.”

India and China are both the most crucial developing countries in this era of modernization. The India-China border tensions have brought all transactions between the two countries to a standstill. S Jaishankar also drew authority from history to show how bilateral cooperations have successfully contributed to global progress besides the member parties involved in a dispute.
