The Indian government has informed the Supreme Court that medical students who returned from Ukraine without completing their MBBS degrees will be given an opportunity to clear their exams. This move will provide relief to hundreds of students who were unable to complete their studies due to various reasons, including the Covid-19 pandemic.

The Centre submitted an affidavit to the apex court stating that it had taken note of the difficulties faced by the medical students and had decided to offer them a chance to appear for the exam. The affidavit also mentioned that the students would have to clear the exam before the end of the current academic session.

The decision was taken after several petitions were filed in the Supreme Court by the students seeking relief. The students had claimed that they were unable to complete their studies due to the pandemic and the subsequent travel restrictions imposed by various countries. The students also pointed out that they had already invested a considerable amount of time and money in pursuing their MBBS degrees in Ukraine.

The Centre's decision has been welcomed by the medical students and their families. They have expressed their gratitude to the government for taking note of their plight and taking steps to alleviate their suffering. The decision will provide a ray of hope to the students who were uncertain about their future due to their inability to complete their studies.

The Supreme Court had earlier directed the Centre to consider the pleas of the students sympathetically and take appropriate action. The court had also sought an explanation from the Centre as to why the students were being denied the opportunity to complete their studies.

The decision of the Centre will benefit around 400 students who had returned to India from Ukraine without completing their MBBS degrees. The students had faced a lot of difficulties due to the pandemic and the subsequent travel restrictions. Many of them had been unable to return to Ukraine to complete their studies and were left in a state of uncertainty.

The move by the Centre is likely to benefit the medical community in the long run. The students who clear the exam will be able to practice medicine in India and contribute to the healthcare sector. The decision will also encourage more students to pursue their studies abroad, knowing that the government will provide them with support in case of any unforeseen circumstances.

In conclusion, the decision of the Centre to offer an opportunity to the Ukraine-returned medical students to clear their MBBS exam is a welcome move. It will provide relief to the students who were facing uncertainty due to their inability to complete their studies. The move will benefit the medical community in the long run and will encourage more students to pursue their studies abroad.
