In response to the Pahalgam terror attack, security forces in Jammu and Kashmir demolished the homes of five terrorists across Kulgam, Shopian, and Pulwama. Explosives destroyed some homes during searches. Army Chief Upendra Dwivedi reviewed the situation amid ongoing ceasefire violations by Pakistan, with Indian forces retaliating effectively.

In a strong retaliatory move following the deadly Pahalgam terror attack that claimed 26 lives, security forces in Jammu and Kashmir demolished the homes of five terrorists across various districts. The crackdown began late Friday night with the razing of houses belonging to suspected militants in Kulgam, Shopian, and Pulwama. Among those targeted was Shahid Ahmed Kuttey’s residence in Shopian’s Chotipora village. During a search operation at the homes of Lashkar-e-Toiba operatives Adil Hussain Thoker and Asif Sheikh, hidden explosives detonated, resulting in the destruction of the structures.
Adil had previously traveled illegally to Pakistan in 2018 for terror training before his return to the Valley. In Pulwama’s Kachipora area, forces demolished the house of Haris Ahmad, another Lashkar-e-Toiba member active since 2023. Similarly, the residence of Ahsan ul Haq Sheikh, a militant trained in Pakistan, was destroyed. The operations are part of a broader security tightening following the attack.
