Shruti Haasan called out IndiGo Airlines for a four-hour flight delay without updates, sparking widespread social media backlash. IndiGo responded, citing weather conditions in Mumbai.

Actor Shruti Haasan took to social media platform X (formerly Twitter) to express her frustration with IndiGo Airlines after her flight was delayed for over four hours without any updates. Haasan, known for her candidness, called out the airline for poor communication, saying, "Hey I’m not one to normally complain but @IndiGo6E you guys really outdid yourself with the chaos today, we’ve been stranded in the airport with no information for the past four hours – maybe figure a better way for your passengers, please? Information, courtesy, and clarity.”
Her post quickly gained traction, with several other passengers and social media users joining in to criticize IndiGo for its lack of customer service during such delays. Many retweeted and commented on Haasan's post, pointing out that flight delays without communication are a common grievance.
In response to Haasan's complaint, IndiGo issued a statement on X, apologizing for the inconvenience. The airline clarified that the delay was caused due to adverse weather conditions in Mumbai, which affected the arrival of the operating aircraft. The airline further assured that the airport team was working hard to assist passengers and ensure their comfort during the prolonged wait.
While IndiGo acknowledged the situation was beyond their control, the delay still sparked widespread frustration among travelers. Haasan’s tweet underscores a recurring issue with flight delays and inadequate communication, which has often left passengers feeling stranded and uninformed.
