Snake in Amazon Package: Anxious techie couple in Bengaluru orders Xbox and receives live cobra instead

A Bengaluru couple was shocked to find a live cobra in an Amazon package meant to contain an Xbox controller. The venomous snake was safely captured, and Amazon apologized for the bizarre mishap that went viral.

A man and woman from Bengaluru recently had the shock of their lives when an Amazon delivery that they expected to contain an Xbox controller turned out to be a live cobra. The shocking video of the event depicts the angry snake wrapped up in packaging tapes. The video also prompted discussions of safety issues and violations, as well as laughter on social networks.

A young couple, both software professionals residing in Sarjapur Road area of Bengaluru, had quite the unpleasant experience on June 18th when they opened an Amazon package expecting an Xbox controller. What arrived in the package instead of their ordered product was a live cobra, a type of snake that is highly venomous and is found in the state of Karnataka.

The bewildered look on the couple’s face when they find something astonishing in the supermarket went viral.

The couple quickly took a video of the bizarre scene that saw a snake struggling in the packaging tape of Amazon prime logo. It is seen that cobra is in discomfort and it is trying to come out from the tape that is tied around it. The video was later uploaded by the husband on the social media platforms, and it gained popularity very soon.

Luckily the snake was captured and later identified as a Spectacled Cobra and it was not in a position to strike due to the packaging tape. People living nearby had to contact snake catchers who then managed to catch the venomous snake. It was later released away from the residential areas as was reported later on by the media.

Amazon Responds to One of the Strangest Accidents Ever

To this end, Amazon came out to the public to apologize and explained that they were investigating how in the world such a serious packaging error could happen. ‘We are very sorry for this incident and have immediately been dealing with the customer to rectify the situation,’ an Amazon spokesperson stated.

The peculiar event raised issues on safety measures concerning packaging at Amazon but also created lots of laughter on social media. A comment by one user remarked, “Guess you got it from Amazon. . . not Amazon. ”Some of them admired the couple for behaving calmly in such a thrilling story related to ‘prime shipping. ’
