Former President Donald Trump abruptly paused his campaign rally in Asheboro, North Carolina, on Wednesday to call for urgent medical assistance for an attendee. This was Trump's first outdoor rally since the recent assassination attempt at his Pennsylvania event, which resulted in one fatality.

During his speech, Trump noticed a disturbance in the crowd and immediately stopped, asking, "What's wrong?" He then called out, "A doctor, please!" into the microphone. Acknowledging the heat and the long wait many attendees had endured, Trump commented, "It is very hot here, I noticed, it's very hot and a lot of the people waited for days to get here, so I understand it."

In a show of concern, Trump stepped away from his bulletproof-glass-enclosed podium, accompanied by Secret Service agents, to approach the area where the attendee was receiving medical attention. He greeted and embraced the individual, who was seen holding a water bottle.

A Secret Service spokesperson later clarified to Newsweek that the incident was heat-related and the rally-goer was fine. The Texas Republican Party praised Trump's actions on social media, calling him a "genuinely good guy" for his response to the situation.

This rally, held in a battleground state, comes nearly a week after Vice President Kamala Harris's campaign event in North Carolina. Despite the brief interruption, Trump resumed his speech, focusing on national security issues.
