In a significant discussion on Wednesday, US National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan and Indian National Security Advisor Ajit Doval reinforced commitments to deepen US-India collaboration on regional stability, clean energy, and defense. The call emphasized the strategic importance of the US-India partnership, particularly for maintaining peace and security in the Indo-Pacific region.

The leaders reviewed progress on several key initiatives, including the Initiative on Critical and Emerging Technology (iCET) Intersessional and the Indian Ocean Dialogue, both crucial platforms for cooperation. The iCET Intersessional, set for the coming months, is designed to foster joint development in advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence, unmanned systems, and quantum science, while also enhancing undersea domain awareness. These advancements will not only strengthen defense ties but will also protect a shared vision of a free and rules-based global order.

Clean energy also featured prominently in their dialogue. As part of broader cooperation on global sustainability, both countries are exploring joint initiatives to fortify clean energy supply chains. The conversation underscored the potential for mutual development in renewable energy technologies, which could bolster both countries’ climate goals while reducing reliance on non-renewable resources.
