According to an Oxford Economics analysis report, the creator ecosystem of video sharing network YouTube contributed almost Rs 10,000 crore to India's GDP in 2021. During the same period, it supported over seven lakhs+ full-time equivalent employment in the country.

The research, released Monday at the Google for India event, polled over 5,000 YouTube producers of all sizes, 4,000 viewers, and 523 companies from various industries.
